Ever since The Game came out, a lot of people have criticized the community and PU in general. These critics of the Pick Up Artists Community say that “gurus” are selling snake oil and that their teachings do more harm than good to guys looking to become more successful with women.

Critics like Barry Kirkey (Extramask from The Game) say that because the community has become commercialized it is more interested in indoctrinating guys so that they buy more products instead of actually helping guys with their issues. These guys argue that the community will do nothing more than make you weirder than you already are.

Others like Steve Pavlina say that the community teaches men how to manipulate women because the type of guys who come into the community want to get a twisted sort of revenge on the women who have rejected them in the past.

8 Great Pick Up Artist Tips For Married Men

In 2005, a book entitled, The Game, hit The New York Times bestseller list and exposed to the world an underground community of pickup artists to the world. Intrigued by the The Game’s popularity, I read Neil Strauss’ book and was both shocked and awed by the seduction community and its sophisticated methods. Most surprisingly, however, I encountered more than a few married people who were using the methods, techniques, and philosophies of the seduction community to enliven their marriages and become more attractive to their partners.
